Per his report: "minimum beam size is a 4 ply 1 3/4" x 11 1/4" LVL supported on each end by a 4x8 STP#2 post." The opening would be about 11 feet. first floor hardwood flooring install - Looking to make a deal on getting hardwood floors intalled in my home. In order to lower my costs, I am willing to pull up the carpets, linoleum and 1/4 round if necessary. I'd like to have someone come and install the material that I have on hand. I have not purchased any material yet and would like either suggestions or advice. Would like the person doing the installation to make sure that there are no low/high spots (I think that there's a slight rise (slight enough that no one notices except for me since I live here) in the kitchen area) that will interfere with the use after installation. Not sure that it's an issue, but would like to resolve any issues before applying the flooring. Need someone to analyze condition of grout - I need a tile specialist that can analyze whether or not the grout in the house I rented was treated during application. I am moving out now and the landlord asked me to use muric acid to clean the grout. The acid did not clean the grout and he's threatening to withhold deposit money.
